If you do decide on Palm Coast, rent for a year. Give it some time. If and when you do buy, be careful and background check your prospective real estate agent. Florida has very lax standards. I found one agent, Kathleen West who was indicted for felonies for alledgedly stealing drugs during a showing. Charges later dipped but still who wants that in their home? Just be careful.

To clarify, charged were not dropped. The state opted not to pursue the charges after the real estate agent completed a first time felon diversion program. The point is would you trust this person? Would you allow her access to lock boxs to get into homes? The first time felon diversion program in Florida can be a good thing but in this case, a real estate agent, it may not have been in the best interest of the community.
