My husband is going to school in Jacksonville. Our kids and I will be coming there tomorrow. We are trying to figure out a good, safe neighborhood to take the kids. He is staying in an Rv park and they don't really do trick or treating. Something west of 95 would be great. We are on the north west side. Willing to go up 95 a bit and willing to go down 295 to the southside. Thanks in advance!

Depending on how far you're willing to drive get on I-295/9A East (towards the Dames Point Bridge/Southside)and go about 5 miles until you get to Alta Rd go either right or left on Alta and you will find some nicer neighborhoods. There are more neighborhoods if you go left/north on Alta.

You can always go to the Ortega Area - off of Roosevelt Blvd - that is west of 95 and south on 295. Nice old established neighborhood. There are some newer neighborhoods closer to the airport that might be more ideal for trick or treating just because the houses are closer together and that makes it easier to move from house to house with the kiddos. Cedar Bay is a neighborhood that comes to mind. It is just off of Main Street (US17) quite close to the airport.
