Looking for wedding venue recommendations in the JAX/St Augustine area.
We want to do a rustic theme, and provide our own catering/alcohol so a venue that allows that would be necessary.

Not really interested in any type of country club/yacht club/beach setting based off the theme.

Would love an inn or bed and breakfast, historical building, park, barn, something along those lines. I'm not from the area (though we plan on making the move there next spring), my husband is, but of course he's not at all familiar with wedding venues.

I'm pretty open minded so any cool venues you know of that are affordable would be awesome to look into.

We're inviting around 80 guests, I'm going to guess that maybe 50-60 will be able to attend (all of my friends and family are in CT, the trip isn't financially feasible for some of them unfortunately) and we would like to keep the venue budget under $3000 if it includes tables and chairs, $1000 if it doesn't.

Thank you!

Oh, and another question.. we want to do the vow renewal (i keep calling it a wedding since we never had a real wedding) on our anniversary, December 19th 2015.. do you think that it would be too cold to have the ceremony outside? What about the reception if it's in a tent with walls and heaters?
Thanks again!

When I visited Jacksonville back in Nov/Dec of 2013 I attended a wedding and reception at a really nice old home in Orange Park at the Club Continental. The house was called Winterbourne (or something like that) It was very nice wedding and reception venue, Right on the banks of the beautiful St Johns River. I would assume that you would call the Club Continental to check out the availability of the home that's on their property. As far as the weather goes I have no clue as I'm not from there, but it was very comfortable when I was there the last 2 weeks of November and the first 2 weeks of December 2013.

My Wife's cousin got married on the rooftop of the OC White room last Labor Day.
Don't know the specifics of your other requirements, but a beautiful setting
