I have been trying to figure out somewhat safe areas, places to rent for a long time..All I do is run in circles. . Husband works at BAE Systems off of Heckshire drive in Jacksonville.. I just cant seem to figure out what direction I should be looking in or local papers. I have a daughter who will be going Into 10th grade (somewhere) lol

If anyone has some advise I could really use it..
thanks

uh have you been there and driven around the area yet? Within short commute distance, there are literally hundreds of safe affordable places to buy or rent. Your question is like asking how to find a housekeeper in san Antonio.

If hubby is working on Heckscher Dr, any where on the East side of Main Street and North of Trout River would be fine. There are several subdivisions that would be suitable for you and First Coast High School would be fine for a local school. Check for housing in the 32226 and 32218 zip codes.

Are you already here and where are you living now if you are ?

I have to make this drive from Amelia occasionally and it is less than 25 minutes from the middle of the Island.

The rental market is extremely tight here now.................but you can find something either on or off the Island with a little patience and diligence.

Beautiful coastal town but real estate has bounced back here tremendously.

Try Craig's list and The Fernandina Beach News Leader.

The schools here are A rated and rank about 14th from the top out of about 50 + county's in Florida.

Welcome to the area

Someone should also kick in that there is a road near Gate and the Power Company that will eventually take you to the River City Shopping Place and the airport. There a lot of subdivisions along the way................I have been here 25 years and I just recently had someone show me.................never knew.
