What is going on with the Nocatee town center development plans? Who is designing this place , Rosie O'Donnell? With the recently announced Wendy's ( even Wendy's fired Wendy and hired "skinny Wendy' ) and the yet to be "officially " announced Dunkin Donuts adding to an existing Dicks Wings the offerings from Nocatee's town center are far from charming, local, or even reasonably healthy. Miles of walkable trails indeed- to walk off that Wendy's single with cheese and one of those mucus filled frostys . That would be after waking up from a carb and sugar induced coma from eating breakfast at the place where America starts ( and ends any sense of accomplishment) it's day.
Nocatee has taken a charming community and pointed it down the road of bland, unappealing, chains. The latest rumor is that the next addition to the town center will be a sonic burger- the king of the corpulent hill! Nocatee , have you sold your soul to the devil - who turned out to be a fat guy who looks a lot like Dom DeLuise.

Ouch.

I'll go out on a limb here and suggest that anyone who is looking to trim down, or stay trimmed down, should probably not be dining out in the first place. Yeah, I know, there are healthy options out there. Could it be that the entry price for opening up a better place is too high for anyone but a franchisee?

The Sonic rumor is a corporate office - not a restaurant. I'm happy DD is coming - I could use the morning coffee.
We should hope that the national chains are successful, as that will prove the area to be a profitable place to open a business for the locals/restaurants that may be hesitant to start up there.

It's pretty simple, because "Martha's Gluten Free No Sugar Vegan Specialty Food Store" wouldn't last a month there because only trendy douche bags would go there. And while there are plenty of those in Nocatee, it wouldn't support the overinflated Nocatee rent. It's pretty simple, sex sells, and so do fast food hamburgers.

I agree, the Nocatee Developers are going in the wrong direction with allowing these mediocre establishments in. The community represents clean & healthy living. This is not a good idea. Greasy, Trans Fat Franchises are expected to be found off I-95 exits, not in your community. Your going to see all the kids riding their bikes up to the Town Center and chowing down on Burgers, Fries & Donuts. Bad move.

Maybe Rob should move to Mumbai, India as he won't find any hamburgers there to be frightened by!
