as for as you thinking ppl are friendly here in FL, it just depends on where you are in FL and where you are from originally. Being a native Floridian and having spent a lot of time in Asheville NC, I find most of FL in the year 2014 to be far less friendly than it used to be. So my perspective is different from someone who moved here from NYC or Newark or Philly, which most ppl moving to FL are from.

I find the bigger the city the less friendly the people are. As Jacksonville's population grows I think the attitudes of the nicer folks will be few and fair.

where are you living that there is a sauna bath for 8 months. Weather turned cool in late October not for the sauna to come back until May, maybe.

With 1,000 people who move to Florida every day, some are bound to eventually leave for various reasons.

I believe there are more who stay than leave. We moved to Fl. from the cold North East many years ago. Will never leave.

Its kinda the opposite of those 8 months of cold dreary winters we have to deal with where we have to shovel out our cars and driveways every day.

People leave Florida for the same reasons that they leave other places. In no particular order;
1. Job
2. Family
3. Weather
4. Health
And many other personal reasons, such as not doing proper
due-diligence before they move to a new/different pace.

Unless, that is, you come from the Rocky Mountains and you can flip that to 8 months of winter, 4 months of semi-warm weather.

Maybe you exaggerated a bit, more like 7 months of winter and bloody hot summers even in the mountains, but yes:
It is 6.8 °F (that's right, SIX degrees) and snowing right now in Denver. Previously, they had had a lovely fall. They often do. I should know, I spent many years in Colorado. But it was the spring and fall snows that would break my heart (along with my trees.)

Like others who commented in this thread, I've moved around a lot over the course of my life, including a brief stint overseas. It's good to arrive in Florida having obtained some perspective (and done some research).

I also agree with Judek that people leave Florida for the same reasons they leave other places.
