So I thought I was settled in on JCP when we relocate, but now someone told me about Eagle Harbor and now I'm back to undecided.

I have twin boys that will start elementary school next year, so schools are a priority.

I will be working on the south side, so it looks like the commute is virtually the same.

I really like the youth sports complex in JCP. Does Eagle Harbor have something similar?

It looks like you can get a little more house for your money in Eagle Harbor.

All in all we are looking for a family friendly place. With people in their mid-30's and kids.

Can anyone compare/contrast the two areas for me? Or at least offer me some advice?

Thanks.

JD

Clay County Schools are great, especially those serving residents of Eagle Harbor. I'm not sure how they compare to the schools that would be serving residents of JCP, but I would speculate that they're similar.

I believe Eagle Harbor does have a rec area. Check out Mod deleted Welcome To Eagle Harbor Online[/url] for details.

Eagle Harbor is comprised of a lot of families, most of which are in their 30's and 40's with school-aged children.

I love the Eagle Harbor and Fleming Island areas. Lots of things to do with the family, good schools, very low crime, etc. Maybe someone will come on here and give their $0.02 of JCP.

I'm partial to Eagle Harbor, but that's not saying anything negative at all about JCP. For us, the deciding factor was the commute - ours goes north I-295 and not over the Buckman Bridge.

If it's at all possible (not certain of your current location nor your timeframe), I recommend driving from EH to your jobsite and from JCP to your jobsite (between, oh, say 5 and 6:30pm) and see which commute feels best.

There's the YMCA.

I don't know your budget. But Eagle Harbor is very good - especially for community activities.

Fleming Island Plantation is not too shabby either.

There are CDD fees in addition to HOA in Fleming Island Plantation; however.
