Hi...
I would like to relocate to Florida because of education and the weather too. I am living in this city for almost 4 years and I can't take it anymore. The Winter is horrible. You can't move. Snows for almost a week without stopping. I am from a hot weather and florida weather is fine.

I am working for a cable company right now. And was thinking to go back to school for Business Admin degree. Do you think this move would change my live for a better future or I will regret and wishing I were never came. Thank you for your help...

No one can say for sure. But if weather is a priority and you like heat then sure there is no doubt FL is better than Syracuse. Did you have a support system in place up there or any other kind of benefit that you won't have here? If you didnt/dont and all things are equal I see no reason why you can't have success down here.

You'll be enrolling as a freshman? Hmm, I'm not sure what the medicaid requirements are in FL but that would be something to look into before any potential move. Anyway, yes, FL could be a good place to start over.

Yes- freshman in college... Most of the southern or down coastal states are not offering Medicaid for adults(They hasn't expanded for low-income adults) unlike NY...

Are you disabled or on SS Disability? Why are you on Medicaid?

My husband moved to Florida from Maine and never looked back. There is good and bad everywhere. The heat and humidity is relentless. Florida is a melting pot of people from everywhere. I think more people from the North live here and than real southerners so you would find plenty of New Yorkers here.

Of course I am not. But I am low- income, any low-income people are eligible for medicaid and snap program.
