Orsay is our #2.
We also liked The Floridian in St. Augustine.

Collage in St. Augustine is delicious and a nice atmosphere for date night.

Orsay was going to be my rec. Looks like it's easily the winner so far.

I've also enjoyed Taverna, Moxie and Black Sheep, as far as fancy places go.

I vote Orsay also. Wonderful food, pleasant ambiance, and a terrific staff who pulls it all together. Bon appetit!

I didn't read the OP's opening post, but I see that everyone is recommending Orsay. So, I'll do it too. Wife and I did our 13th anniversary there, last year. It was very good.

Chipotle. If you can avoid the e-coli and various other food borne illnesses, I rank their $8 burrito up there against any dish in NE FL.

Luckily, My wife and I do not carry the burden of E.F.K. (Excessive food knowledge) which allows us to thoroughly enjoy ourselves at this establishment.

Wow, thanks for all of the replies. I will be checking out each place. Everyone has me really excited about Orsay. Although I like the idea of going to St. Augustine and taking a walk after. Also I have not been out to the Ponte Vedra beach area yet so it might be nice to check it out.

Florida2014, although I love Mexican, I think I will pass on Chipotle

The only reason I didn't originally include Jacksonville on the list is that I absolutely hate driving there (especially if the drive includes that horrible mess of an area where 95 and 10 meet). Also, I have been to some areas of Jacksonville and so far I have not been impressed. Although admittedly I have not seen all of the areas and maybe I am missing the "hidden gems."

Orsay and the other restaurants in Riverside/Avondale are much closer to you than St. Augustine or PVB - and on the same side of the river too. It's a straight shot on 17 (no interstates). Robyn
