Default Motorcycle riders

Any Motorcycle riders out there?
Are Jax roads relatively safe to ride around on?
I live in Philly and it's not so nice up here.

It's not so bad down here....in fact, you hardly ever hear of accidents with them

damn it lost bunch of stuffs I typed up, so here's to summerize

1. no helmet law(why?!)
2. restaurants hosts bike nights, charity ride events.
3. lots of bikers young and old so it's a big scene.
4. quite a few bike shops here, Harley's.
5. accidents are usually by careless driver that don't know turn signals and also red light runners.
6. can't ride between lanes to get past traffic.
7. most roads aren't perfectly maintained, so watch for pot holes, specially on the 95.

both excellent posts.
sounds like New Hampshire.
I have a summer house up there and all the same issues/points
Philly is nuts. Rude car and truck drivers everywhere. Lots of blind corners and ton of stuff(garbage) on the roads. Potholes the size of California

thanks for the thoughts.

oh trucks can drive in all lanes on the freeway here. and there are speed traps through out busy roadways. they like to hide a lot.

I stay off of them now (was hit by a drunk driver many moons ago ), but motorcycles are popular here.

I would say we're probably average as far as safety - we have plenty of bad (car) drivers who don't know how to share the road with bikes....like most cities.

We do have a road debris problem in Jax. You'll see pickups dropping stuff on the road all the time. Not long ago a truck dropped a window air conditioner right in front of me (almost ON me as we were merging onto the highway). You'll see the police pulling the trucks over and citing them for improper tie-down too.

Be careful.
