Is the tap water really as bad as it is rated --- 10th worst in the nation? Is there a problem with the utilities company or something?

I'm not sure I'd trust a "study" from some website called "24/7 Wall Street" who cannot actually produce the source of their data (says "multiple sources"). Beyond that, this analysis ended in 2009, which was 8 long years ago.

Here are more recent water quality analyses from JEA: https://www.jea.com/About/Water_Supp...ality_Reports/

This is the same article/study that gets recycled year after year that drives eyeballs to blah-blah-blah.com. Having said that, we were turned off by the smell and taste of chlorine in the water when we first moved in to our home last year. We opted for the carbon filter upgrade when we installed our new water softner and that 100% took care of the smell and hopefully other toxins/chemicals.

I think some of you need to rethink the whole "bottled water is better" philosophy. There have been studies showing that bottled water is, in some cases, WORSE than municipal tap water. A quick Google search will provide you the details, here is one:

The real question is: Why is the water bad and what can be done to alleviate the problem?; not weather you should drink bottled water or not!
