It's not so much Target vs Walmart. It's just the location as well as the multi family units that are part of this project. If this nonsense was on the East side of I-95 I guess I'd be more at ease .... But I just hate urban sprawl. I'm all for development, but I just hope this county isn't making a mistake. I mean you have orange park mall, St. John's town center , there's are outlets further south along I-95...when is enough enough ? And why would any govt administration allow low income housing into their community ? Surprised there aren't any protests over this or the Walmart

This is rather troubling, especially considering what appears to be a shortage of doctors accepting new patients. Adding hundreds of multi family home units will only exacerbate the problem. As well wouldn't adding low income housing hurt current home values ? What has been the reaction of the residents to all this ?

Yes, it's as I said, it's the multi-family housing we should all up in arms over, not necessarily the Walmart. I do not think it's considered low-income housing, but my guess is the units will be in the high $100s to low $200s as that seems to be the going rate in the new Durbin townhomes.

I think this County Commission, the 5 guys that decide what's get built, would approve an airport runway or skyscraper on 210 if they could. Creeps can never say " No"

I'm confident they will agree with the PZA here and decide NOT to approve yet another large development in the area. Let's hope that area and all of the beautiful trees stay forever undeveloped.
