I want to buy a beer-brewing kit as a gift for someone. I need to have it within about 8 or 9 days at the most.

I've searched online for a local shop that sells these kits, but I can't find one. Does anyone know of anyplace locally that sells these?

As a backup, any favorite online places to buy one?

I saw that one, but I didn't see where they sell kits locally (for pickup)? It was a messy site, I need to go back and look again.

Amazon....my old standby - for everything! Free shipping right now too and they say they'll get it here by the 17th (I don't need it for that day, but that would be good). Might go this route if all else fails.

Cool, I'll look at this one today too!

Thanks everyone......a lot of people like homebrew, huh? I was looking at the Mr. Beer. I'm just looking for a cheap starter kit, no big investment yet until I know if he's serious. Our beer bills are getting high and I thought this might help!

This one is located in St Paul, MN, my former residence.
This is good 'locally owned' (well...in MN ) spot with a large assortment of kits ranging from the beginning beginner up through the seasoned vet!

I was looking into home brewing before I made the jump to Jacksonville!

Riveree,
This place will have a wide variety of recipes of types and flavors of beer to choose from, should this home-brewing venture turn out positively!
