Someone posted Robyn's obituary on the Retirement forum where Robyn was also very active providing invaluable advice and information to many.

Robyn was born Robyn Cooper on September 13, 1947. She died of lung cancer at her home in Ponte Vedra Beach on August 2, 2017. She married her Harvard Law School classmate, Bart Greene, in 1971. In 1973 they moved to Miami and practiced law there until they retired. Robyn was an excellent lawyer (better than Bart). She had the courage to found her own appellate firm and the ability to make it a success. There will be no funeral or memorial service.

Oh crap! She and I shared a birthday, and I didn't even know it. RIP Robyn. I enjoyed reading your contributions to the Jacksonville forum.

I became curious and searched out some of Robyn55's comments. The following one is particularly poignant, as it was posted in November of 2015.....a bit short of two years ago. Read the last line.

"Sorry I am a day late and a dollar short in this thread. Just for future reference - we've seen the practice sessions having lunch in JAX Beach in an oceanfront restaurant near the pier on Friday. Worst Mexican food I've ever had. Great viewing. That was 2 years ago IIRC.

And one year we parked in a parking lot close to A1A on Beach Blvd. for the "real show". Not very crowded - and we had a good view. That was 4 years ago IIRC.

Our house is almost directly under the back end turnaround point for some of the routines. I decided to wash windows outside on Saturday so I could see whatever happened. Was rewarded with things like seeing 5 planes flying in formation so close to the ground over our house I could almost see the pilots' faces. Most amazing thing I ever saw at the house was a few planes flying upside down right over the trees in our back yard!

Note that everyone is invited to my house 2 years from now to watch - as long as you help us wash the windows <LOL>. Robyn"

I'm so sad to hear this. Robyn was very helpful to me here in the forum and in PMs over the years and I was looking forward to meeting her in person next year when we move to Ponte Vedra.

RIP, Robyn.

I haven't been back in a while since I recently moved away from PVB, but always read her threads and comments with interest and felt that something was missing when she disappeared. RIP, Robyn.

Thanks for posting this Ivan. I had suspected that she (or her husband or dad) was having more health problems since she had not been chiming in here over the past year or so. Whether or not I agreed with the content in Robyn's posts I admired her for being thoughtful (and thought-provoking!), for supporting her assertions and for being a straight shooter. Robyn was a great resource to me during and after my family's move to the area in 2010 and I'm glad I had the opportunity to thank her for that in a number of PMS. May she rest in peace.

And just over a year ago we got in an argument about cancer. And I never came back to that thread, where two and a half months later, I think she might have apologized to me, in her own way.

We didn't cross paths too often, but when we did, her posts were respectful and thoughtful; rest easy, Robyn.
