I spoke to Robyn many times both on the forum and privately. It is with great sadness that I learn of her passing.

She wrote excellent posts. She used reason and logic that was light years above that of many of the posts that I read here. I did not agree with most of her politically conservative views. However, she defended herself well.

Her accomplishments were prodigious. She attended and graduated from Harvard Law School. She founded her own law firm. She argued at least one case in front of the US Supreme Court. She and her husband became wealthy in their forties and they retired from work. She was an authority when it came to understanding municipal bonds and their tax free implications.

She had much advice for those retiring.

Her one vice that I could see was that she smoked. She apparently died of lung cancer before she could turn seventy years old. I talked to her about that before she developed cancer. Nothing could have persuaded her to quit. I remember she was angry that the Affordable Care Act gave lower rates to nonsmokers.

RIP, Robyn. You will be greatly missed here.

I appreciate being notified what happened to her.

Retirement subforum members really appreciated her contributions as well.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I remember her on the Health forum, especially her wise advice about health insurance.

I'm sorry to hear this.

I hadn't seen her post in a while. I sometimes would worry and start to wonder, when frequent posters would go off the radar on forums that I posted on.

Default I am so, so sorry to hear of this...

She was on top of her 'game' and a common theme prevails here, she knew her stuff and made no bones about it, good for her I say!

Thank you so very much for posting this Ivan, recently I had also wondered as well and actually discovered as you did that her last post was 2016.

May she forever rest in peace and swift prayers and condolences for her friends and family.

And she wasn't too fond of the Jaguars. Her "The Jaguars Suck Again" thread still lives on and is up to 25 pages! Robyn55 lives on...

Thank you for informing us. I had wondered about her, and where she was. Her posts on the Jax-St. Augustine area were always so helpful to me. So sad for her family. Godspeed, Robyn.

I don't really watch whose threads I am posting on or in response too, but I do remember seeing Robyn55's contributions over the years on C-D.

I enjoyed reading them and I respected her ability to maintain the "higher road".

RIP.
