I am big into body art and have a strong opinion of certain places around town. Obviously, if you are into mods as well, you know to check portfolios of work done. Just look around, Riveree's suggestion of Fountain of Youth is good, you go to certain people for certain styles. Deborah does great traditional, as she has been in the biz for a LONG time. Ink Smith and Big City are what I like to call the Wal-Mart of tattoo shops. You get what you pay for

Not to say you may not find a good artist at on of those places, but your chances are slimmer. Also, my brother owns a shop on the Westside, Blanding Blvd and 103rd Street. Tattoo Thiel's The artists there are great, but I will let you pass your own judgement. You can also check the Duval County health department on the ratings shops get during their inspections,
