There are not any specific neighborhoods that I can think of that have large lots in your price range in Palm Valley area. It sounds to me that you are describing US 1 area in ST. Johns County. The schools are very high rated, the homes are new, large, and in your budget however, without builing a custom home, I think you will probally have a hard time finding that large of a lot.

here's a search I did for Palm Valley for homes between 150k and 400k, 13 homes came up, include PVB in the search and there will be about 50 that show up
Palm Valley Real Estate Photos of Homes for Sale in Florida

Fiddlers marsh, latrium, seaside, azeala, farifield are in PVB and have homes available in that range,
go RealtyWEB.NET
do a property search, select the kind of property you want, the price range and the area there are many homes from the high 200's to the mid 300's in the area, good luck

When I think of someone saying they want a little bit of property, I think .5 acre lot or larger. Am I right, familymom? I don't think finding that size for that price range in PVB is possible (without it being a teardown or major fixer upper). However, if you don't care about size of your yard: Azalea Point, Fiddler's Marsh and some parts of Sawgrass would be family friendly. Sorry.

unless you get out there to the outskirts of JAX large lots at low prices are next to impossible to find, if you want a larger property in pv/pvb you're looking at spending close to 1m and up.

I gave a little direction to someone who was looking for a larger lot, new or newer home with 4 bedrooms in the $425k price range. The areas you recommended offer none of what "familymom" asked for help with finding. If I were her, I would be very dissappointed when I saw the small, older homes on small lots you mentioned. Additionally, someone with a $425k budget is not interested in neighborhoods with $300k and less homes.
