Is there really Spring in JAX?
I realize that things bloom all year in JAX but would like to know what spring looks like? Do you see alot of flowering trees, bulbs, etc...?? In other words, can you tell much of a difference between Winter and Spring as far as vegetation is concerned?
Also, it looks the weather is mostly beautiful in JAX throughout the year (less the hottest Summer months) but I'm curious when the really intense humidity starts and ends.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks to all!

Yes, you do see a change in vegetation, but we go from cold to hot pretty quickly. IMO we have hot and cold for our "seasons"

Yes, spring was March 12th. It's already gone.
More seriously, I consider it to be spring in Jacksonville when the dogwoods bloom. When the dogwood blooms are gone, summer has started.

I don't see many dogwood, but I see a lot of azaleas. That's when I think spring. Also, when the bottlebrush blooms. Then the hummingbirds come and we know it's spring!

I disagree with some of the statements up above. Jax/North Florida certainly has a Spring and its certainly not over. Its still very pleasant outside, and it doesnt start getting really hot until late May or June. All places on Earth are subjected to above or below norm temps anytime of the year. We certianly do not have just a cold and hot season

True, but for the most part, our spring like temps don't last all that long...but it's certainly spring now.
