We would need a little bit more information in order to give you our suggestions.
Do you know what area of jacksonville you will be working?
Do you want to rent or buy ?
What are you looking to spend per month if renting ?
How close do you want to be to the beach ?
Are kids involved so that good schools will be important

Default Where to live

Median Rent is low end $800.00 per month 1 Bedroom to as much as $1500.00 per month in a gated Apartment complex. The further east you go the better class of Jacksonville is. That's not to say Closer to downtown is worse. There are lovely place's to rent or buy near downtown San Marco/ St Nicolas are beautiful area older but great. I live in the Regency area. This from a life long resident is the best place in Jax. 15 min from downtown or the beaches. Withend 2 miles I have every store/Mall you can name. Area is fairly safe better than most parts of town. But as they say location location location. It truly is one of the better places to be. Try to stay away from Orange Park/Clay County. Unless you just like to be in traffic. Riverside east/downtown is nice but very 60's still. Baymeadows/Deerwood isn't a bad place to be just find a place close to 9A and you'll avoid lot's of traffic. New home's in the area are from High 150,000's to as much as you have. Think St John's Town Center and everything is close by/ Hope this help's Welcolm to Jax if you come
