Do you happen to have any information on that or know anything about it. We really like the community and would hate to think that we wouldn't be able to move there because of something like that... Please let me know.. I would really appreciate it.. Thankyou

My wife and I were looking at Doctors Inlet and was not very pleased with the community or the product. We ended up buying a KB Home right down the street off of Rt. 220 just past college Dr. The community name is Woodbridge, Moderator cut: edit

okayyy welll im a teenager living in dr. inlet reserve and from my point of view the junior high and highschool zoned schools are both A school and i went to both and loved it. Lake Asbury and Ridgeview. As for the traffice it is almost over with and the construction should be done shortly. the dump is not bad at alll it is very far back behind the development and from the look of the neighborhood you would never knoe there was a dump behind it. the one thing i know my parents arent happy with in DIR is the houses are made very cheaply. they are put up very fast which is another horrible sign but as for that the location and school are terrific.

Thanks!

CornerStone Homes recently went through some changes due to the hard economic situation in construction. I would be cautious as they rebid all aspects of their construction out and awarded contracts to all the trades who had the absolute lowest prices. That doesn't mean that the lowest bidder will necessarily do poor work, but often times, especially in construction these days, you get what you pay for.

Remember, these builders all market hard to imply quality, but the ones who actually care have become extremely scarce. It's a survival mode right now, and eeking out as much profit as possible is the ruling provision, without exception.

Also, builders who are constantly taking lower and lower bids from ever hungrier subcontractors are also experiencing a high turnover rate in their subs, as the lowball guys continually go out of business, which is resulting in poorer and poorer quality and inconsistencies in the home quality.

I know the builders like to market right now as being the best time to buy and from some aspects that is true......however; from a pure quality standpoint, the subcontractors all know they have given the lowest price they can give, and therefore will do the work the quickest most profitable way they can, which includes cutting corners unfortunately. So from that angle, now is the worst time to buy a home, as quality of home construction is at an all time low.

When times are busy, the builders are willing to pay more to higher quality subs, so if you can wait until things pick up a little next year, you'll probably end up with a better quality house. This is all coming from someone who's business depends on construction, but isn't afraid of ruffling feathers by speaking the truth.
