Moving to Jax July 1. Looking at Oakleaf Plantation area in orange park. Looks like nice area with schools, houses, townhouses, condos. Any thoughts on the area? Son at Nas Jax, two kids 4 and 8. Need good schools, daycare and activities. He wants to be close to work. As mom and grandmomI’d rather be near the beach!

My thoughts on Oakleaf are that it is a hidden gem surrounding by a very congested, lower income area. The neighborhood itself is very nice and if you're the type of person who would take advantage of the all the neighborhood amenities and not leave your immediate area much it might be a good fit. But if you want to go to the beach, drive to the Town Center, drive to St Augustine, etc. etc. I think it would be a royal PITA. Some of the houses and lots in that area are truly amazing though.
