Anyone have thoughts on Twin Lakes Middle School or Mandarin Middle School?
Good or bad things?

I honestly wonder the same thing. I live in Bartram Park and love the area and how convenient it is to everything, but am afraid of what is waiting my 2nd grader in a few years based on the internet ratings of Twin Lakes Middle School.

I can't tell you much about Twin Lakes, I know it used to be a good school back when I was in that age range, but I don't know anyone that goes there and can't tell you if it's changed.

Mandarin Middle is a great school, I have a cousin that's currently in 8th grade there and all of his teachers are excellent, some of them are actually my old teachers from when I attended Mandarin back in 2004-2007. You really can't go wrong with Mandarin Middle, it's definitely one of the best middle schools in Duval County, with great teachers and staff. But if you don't live in the area it'll be hard to get in, my other cousin applied through School Choice and is around #50 on the waiting list, so that's probably not going to happen.

Also some of the schools that are zoned to go to Mandarin Middle go to Atlantic Coast instead of Mandarin High, so if you're looking to move I would make sure you're zoned to go to both Mandarin Middle and High, as Atlantic Coast isn't the worst, but definitely not the best.
