Wo all received the Solid waste & Stormwater fee "Love letter" ?
Found mine in my mailbox yesterday
It came with this colorful brochure explaining why they want me to send them $60 that seems to cover 6 months.
So much for the "savings" we were suppose to see with the property tax cut issue.

I got it, but didn't open it. I did not know we were suppose to send in $60, I thought it was being taken out of the JEA bill!. The tax "cut" was a big joke. The city wants it's money no matter what, with all the whining about how they need more money. Government waste in action.

Ok, so I was wanting to know more so I found some info here:
FAQs Billing
[rant]
I am very p***ed about this, I consider myself to be somewhat of an "informed" person, and I didn't see this on any news sites or get even a warning letter from COJ. I also feel like this was brought on by all of the people that voted yes on 1 earlier this year. I knew they would get their money some other ways. AND I am sure even though I pay this thing, my public services will not improve. [/rant]

But remember they can still spends hundred of thousands on multiple firework displays throughout the year
Makes you wonder if they were being "low key" about the bills being sent out because they didn't want the homeowners "uproar"

I'd be up for a taxpayers revolt. I'm sick of how much waste there is in the town. We could all gather at the landing, rip our bills in half and dump them into the river! Instead of the Boston Tea Party we could call it the St. John's Waste Party!

Then we would all have to pay to clean up the river! AND the reprint of new bills, WITH late fees!
Can't we just throw Peyton in the river??
