In addition to Bolles School, the best schools are in St. John's County, hands down.

It's across the street from the river, so the neighbor across the street has the riverfront lot (and the big giant walls around the front of the estate).

This house is angled at 45%, so I would think some upstairs rooms might have a view, but otherwise it might be tough getting a glimpse of the river .

Why move to Florida and not live as close to the ocean as possible? I would definately move to the beaches area, get your kids in the magnet school program or private school (Bolles) and enjoy a very laid back Florida lifestyle. Regardless of where you work, the commute is well worth it. You sound like a gated community person. I would recommend Queens Harbour. Lots of stuff to offer the family, gorgeous golf course, pool and clubhouse.

If I were going to live at the beaches and money were no object -- I would buy in Marsh Landing Moderator cut: edit: removed linkl] and join The Ponte Vedra Club Welcome to Ponte Vedra Beach Resorts, award-winning accommodations, beach club and golf in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. That would be my ultimate life style. As for schools for my children, if I wanted private, I'd send them to Bolles but there's nothing wrong with PV/PV.

I actually used to live in Marsh Landing and my children would have attended PV/PV before we moved. If we had a choice to move back and live anywhere in Jax again, we would pick Marsh Landing, except this time I would live in a better location!

P.S. - For anyone who's known my saga of moving -- our house is set to close this week!!!! YEAH!!! It only took twelve months! (Location is everything. We had a cruddy location in the subdivision, believe it or not, thought we'd live there for awhile and it wouldn't matter and low and behold, we were stuck until the "right" buyer came).

If I were the OP, I would find the perfect place for me and RENT!

My only problem with Marsh is the distance to the beach, at sawgrass I can take my golf cart to the beach, There's nothing wrong with marsh but if you going to be near the beach, I think you should be at the beach and having to drive to it isn't the best when for the same money you could be almost on it. Sawgrass CC is just as nice as the PVC

Hi
If money is no object, have you considered St. Johns county they have the best schools in this area far better than Duval. There are some nice areas off of CR 220 which is off of 95south. There is a lot of building going on there (shopping, restaurants, schools, new home subdivisions. St Augustine is located in St. Johns county which is about 12miles south of CR 220 where there are homes that range from 280k+ golf course close by! Just a thought presently I am in the process of living Jacksonville. I never had any problems was single and stayed on the southside zip 32216 and 32256(deerwood also nice) Good luck

Thanks in advance for you help and suggestions.

If money were no object is the key....I'd live at the beach and send your kids to Beaches Episcopal School. Pricey tuition, but top notch education, and the difference between these kids and the kids (and some parents) who go to some gov't run public schools here will make you wonder why everyone doesn't get a 2nd or 3rd job to send their kids to a private school such as this one. In a world where our youth seem to put a heavy priority on tattoos and piercings, I want my kids to have every advantage they can have for the future, since I think the future is going to be rough going with the population we are producing right now.

I should have mentioned that Neptune Beach Elementary has an outstanding reputation and is a public school.
