St Johns County Schools - Before and After Care (price, elementary schools)

SJC Elementary schools are starting later for '08-'09 at 8:30am - 3:00pm instead of 7:30am - 2:00...so I will need before school care for my 2 kids next year in addition to after school. I pay $292/month right now, which I feel is a fair price for 2-6pm each day.

I just got my sign up sheet for Mill Creek Elem's program for next year today. $385 for extended day, and $600 for morning. THATS $1000/month!

I know Durbin Elem charges around $350/month now for both morning and afternoons for 2 kids, but heard their $$$ will go up too.

I;m interesting in hearing what others in the county are paying for next year. Because school ends an hour later now, I figured it couldn't go up that much, but I am total shock now.

I'm doing some research now into other schools in the district. Seems like a rip off, but not many other choices for us out near WGV. I email the school board and only one replied stating they were looking into the matter and they were trying to make the rates "similiar" across the county, but from what I heard so far (julington, durbin) are only in the high $300's/month (2 kids before and after care) which is a feasible price.
