NY'er here moving with my family to St Johns county.

I am sure I will be laughed out of town for asking this, but question about the lot I am buying and alligators.

Where in NY are you, we just moved down from NY last year. You mentioned buying a lot, whereabouts are you looking ?

Don't worry about the aligators, haven't seen one yet. The bugs though are another thing entirely.

We are from NY and the night before we moved in March, I had a nightmare that an alligator was trying to open up my driver side door lol! Just stay away from the ponds and you’ll be fine Folks living here love to mess with anxiety ridden NY’ers but it’s an amazing place w great people, we love everything about it.

We are looking in the Rivertown / Shearwater-ish area.....

We really like it so far!

What is your budget? I am very familiar with those areas and a budget would help.

Anywhere from 750-850K....I'm sure we can find something nice at that number.... I am just torn over "living in a resort" and I feel like River town is far away from stores, etc.. Even a basic breakfast restaurant type of thing

By the way.....if you happen to know anything about Mattamy homes and their build quality, that would be amazing. I am extremely nervous after reading some of the things I read online about them, but everyone in Rivertown seems to be thrilled with the homes they have built for them there, so not sure what to think....

Thank you!
