I'm getting ready to escape Oklahoma (Tulsa) and was wondering what a one bedroom apt generally cost here.

You can get an apartment for around $600 dollars. If you'd like a pool and palm trees to go along with the apartment then.. it would probably be around $850 a month.

Thanks Ryde for the info. I go to the apartment websites but I usually don't get an overall median for prices...

You can get a lot of info on the main page of CD for Jacksonville.
CD states that the median rent was $739 in 2005, and that would sound about right. Here's a link to some more info: Jacksonville, Florida (FL) Detailed Profile - relocation, real estate, travel, jobs, hospitals, schools, crime, news, sex offenders

GOOD NIGHT!
...The avg (800 sq ft) 1 bd room apt here in Tulsa is $425 month even in a nice area! Thanks River for the information! ![]() |

If you don't want to live in a complex, many areas of the city have garage apartments or units available for much less.

Still 425 would be tough, especially for 800 sq ft, and it likely would not be safe. Likely it would be around 550 or so for a decent place that you wouldn't get your car stolen at and about 600 sq ft.

I think it depends on the area please be careful with sites...I've noticed a lot show you the model then you move in and the place stinks! Williams Walk has a lot of condos being rented at the moment and you can negotiate for about $800 for a 1/1 845-908 sq ft.
Riverside area has places starting @ $600...check out craigslist it might help. Also check out First Coast Rental Finders...they helped me find my condo. |
