Default Northeast Florida High Schools

Here are the recent national rankings for area high schools according to Newsweek magazine's new rankings being released this month:

5 — Stanton College Preparatory School
8 — Paxon School for Advanced Studies
89 — Nease High School (St. Johns County)
151 — Mandarin High School
176 — Douglas Anderson School of Arts
319 — Bartram Trail High School
413 — St. Augustine High School (St. Johns County)

The Newsweek article ranks the top 1300 high schools in the nation.

This was posted on the Times-Union site.

Congrats to all the teachers and administrators who work so hard to make schools in this area among the best in the country.

So for all those considering moving to Northeast Florida, your children certainly do have an opportunity get a great public education.

Well, keep in mind, of those on that list that 2 are college prep schools that you have to be accepted to and 1 you have to be accepted based upon an art skill. Also, we still have some 16-17 other high schools in Duval County, 3/4 of those are not up to par.

Thanks for the list Jackaroo. I'd expect our magnet schools to be on the list, but it's good to see some "regular" high schools made the list as well.
