[Car] Horn usage
Mainly a question for migrants, Compare to where you lived before, have you find yourself honking more frequently on the road?
Traffic hasn't been a major issue in my daily commute, but it's the idiots on the road that pisses me off beyond believe.
(NYC driver is, I'm sure, a no.)

I was never horn blower, in an emergency I'll blow your ears off, but otherwise I never blow the horn in frustration

I am the same. I actually prefer to yell, like they can hear me

I am a horn blower. Here on the Southside, it gets a lot of exercise. People are very timid drivers here. I can tell you exactly where my horn gets used the most:
Intersection of Gate Pkwy & Town Center Drive
I mean, this intersection causes me hairloss. The right lane is a dedicated turn lane, yet it is always backed up and stopped because someone is making a COMPLETE stop and waiting for turning traffic to finish. I just don't have the patience. I make sure to blow my horn and flail my arms all over the place. Man, I don't know where that comes from? I am just used to being on the road with more aggressive drivers, who are always in a rush; but not here in Jax, no not here in Jax.

Hey! There is a huge difference between stupid and not in a rush! I have been here my 99% of my life and I cannot stand Jacksonville drivers! Maybe because a New Yorker thought me to drive
And for all of those "Not in a rush" that is what the RIGHT lane is for, get out of my way!

and this is a bad thing? one of the nice things about JAX is that most people are not high strung like you appear to be

I never blow the horn. I pretty much assume that if I blow my horn at someone they might pull a gun. So I'm extremely patient.

I agree with apvbguy. If you're in that much of a rush you should've left home early.

I don't blow the horn much. I give when I need to give, whether or not they other driver is in the wrong. But on the times that the horn is necessary to prevent an accident- I am like APVGuy- I LAY on the horn.

I realized at that area, people have created their own right turn lane from the center lane. Also, I simply can't trust the other driver to know how to properly stay at their lane when they make that left turn, most of them turn straight into the furthest right lane.
