Default Trees: Cedar or Pine?

Hey! Question for y'all...the trees I see mainly along the highways, the tall ones with straight trunks, hundreds of 'em - are those Pine trees or Cedar trees?

They are either slash pines or long leaf pines. I can't tell the difference between them. Some may be cypress. They have finer needles and lose them during the winter.

Pine is used a lot because when they clear the land later, they can use the pine (timber).

If you look over by the Saint Johns Town Center, for example, you can see pines all planted in neat rows on the land that is yet to be developed.

Default trees

Thanks. I see lots of them in what looks like un-developed areas. Like they have been there for many years. Hundreds of them, very straight trunks, with longish needles coming out of the branches at the top.
