I am so confused about Jacksonville, Northside, Southside whatever?Can sombody please exlpain the difference.
Where are the good(safe) areas . I am really concerned about Orange Park \ Fleming Island area is that part of Jax, are those good areas.

Southside is the most booming part of Jacksonville. The southside includes mandarin & st. johns county - where Julington creek, Bartram Park & St. Augustine is. The northside includes downtown, further north is the amelia island ,callahan area. Ponte Vedra, the "upper middle" class is in the south east coastline of Jacksonville - most houses here are beach front. Orange park is in the south west side of Jacksonville. Among all counties in Jax, clay county (Orange Park) is what I'm seeing separate from Jacksonville - Buckman bridge (long) is the only bridge that connects this city to Jacksonville.. and since many residents live here but work in Jax, the traffic in AM is the main culprit (bottle neck).

Ponte Vedra is east of Jacksonville central business district. The "southside" also includes hundreds of very small concrete block houses constructed in the early 1950's off of both Beach boulevard and Atlantic boulevards, which are not in particularly good neighborhoods today...
