We are looking for an ocean front hotel, that has a fire pit right on the beach. I know I have seen one on the web before, now I can`t find it. Also best restaurants that are walking distance. Thanks

If you google Ritz Carlton Amelia Island fire pit you will find several photos. It seems you can actually select a fire terrace room.

We stayed on Amelia Island about 7 years ago and our budget put us at the Marriott Residence Inn, which was about 4 blocks from the beach. I can’t remember any restaurants, but I do remember eating off the island. Hope this helps somewhat.

Ritz Carlton in AI has a restaurant called Salt. Gets good reviews but it was expensive and the food was nothing special.

Omni Amelia Island Plantation along with the Ritz Carlton have fire pits. Both have restaurants onsite, the Omni has a few more on property than the Ritz.

If you drive downtown “Centre Street” there are least a dozen great restaurants all within a short walking distance. I never like to recommend restaurants as people have different tastes and expectations. Check out TripAdvisor for reviews. We have never been let down by them either domestically or internationally.

Enjoy your visit!

Second Ritz and Omni for fire pit, Uber could be better than walking to the restaurants on the beach.

Good food at Beech St Grill in Fernandina, like Palm Fish camp, etc

I suggest Embassy Suites in St Aug beach. You can walk to Salt Life or Sunset Grill restaurants, Italian ice and other spots. You should walk the extra block for Sunset Grill as it's a long time local favorite where as Salt Life is a trendy chain with decent food and good drinks. Both places as with most St Aug weekend dining will be very busy. The Embassy is very nice, on the ocean with pool fire pit, beachside bar etc...

tried to delete because apparently I can't read...lol. But if staying in St Aug...
