Gyms near the St. John's Town Center (condo, YMCA)

I don't think the condo gym is going to work out for me.....know of any near the St. John's Town Center?

I wish there was a Planet Fitness closer.

You should check Bailey's Powerhouse Gym @ ++ Welcome to Bailey's Powerhouse Gym ++
Baileys Powerhouse has 12 locations around jacksonville.
Membership allows you full access to any of their gyms and group fitness classes.

I think the ones closest to SJTC would be either @ Baymeadows/Southside
or the locations on St Johns Bluff Rd (1/2 way between Beach and Atlantic Blvds)

The Brooks Family YMCA is in that general area. It's a really nice gym. They have a lap pool, cycling classes, aerobic classes, Pilates, yoga, etc. It's worth a tour, at the very least.

I'd say Brooks YMCA. They are close enough for you to ride your bike to from SJTC, and you will have access to the other Y's in the area. They are top of the line. They used to be a private gym until Brooks Rehab donated it to the YMCA... so everything is elite.

You also may get a discount based on who your employer is. I cannot remember which gyms, but I know I've seen discounts for gyms in my work emails.
