Question Is Jacksonville o good family vaca place?

Hello!

My family is coming to visit me in Atlanta and we would really like to drive to FL for a vacation. We have done Panama City, and I must admit the beaches were absolutely beautiful, but as for ativities, there's nothing to do
Is Jacksomville the same, and how are the beaches?

Thanks!

I have been living in the area for about 9 months, now. I was advised to take a trip to Amelia Island, which has a lot of nice shops/restaurants to visit. It's not too far from the GA border, for you.

Amelia Island and Historic Fernandina Beach

St Augustine is a little bit further south. But I heard it was a very nice place to visit.

St. Augustine is more of a vacation destination than Jacksonville is. There are certainly more tourist attractions and St. Augustine Beach is perhaps one of the best beaches in the area. You are looking at less than an hour's drive from downtown Jax to the city of St. Aug.
