Are there Beaches in the Jacksonville area with 'shark teeth' and/or 'sand dollars' that can be found on the beach? I was just curious. My daughter likes to collect them.

I've never seen sand dollars, but there are plenty of shark's teeth around.

Check at low tide at any of our beaches and you'll find shark's teeth. I found a really big one in Mayport a few years back - about 2 inches long!

In St. Augustine I used to find Sea Beans too .

We go to Mickler's beach in PV and people have found teeth there all the time. We still haven't but I have not really looked either.

You'll have to go to Talbot Island for sand dollars...but it's worth the trip!

Yep.
We've found several sand dollars here at Amelia Island, and while we have not found any shark teeth yet, there are supposed to be lots of those here, too.

We've found sand dollars in Guana but never came across shark's teeth. Our friend's go to the beach at the Inn and Club and always found shark's teeth.

We spend the week in Vilano Beach about a month ago....my son found some really cool sharks teeth, and not to mention they also found a couple starfish that were alive!

Vilano Beach is right between S. Ponte Vedra Beach and St. Augustine, along A1A, before you cross the brigde into downtown St. Augustine.

best bet for both sand dollars and sharks teeth and shells is probably Washington state park south of St. Augustine
Jekyll island in Ga. used to be loaded with sand dollars
