Smile Lived in Jax for 50 years

I have lived in East Arlington (32225) for 20 years and yes, it is a lovely area, but I am moving because it has gotten so busy and so crowded. The Regency area is outrageously overcrowded! If you work downtown or have any reason to travel during rush hour - forget it! The expressway system is a mess! There is tons of construction going on.

I personally am moving to the Northside, the 32208 area. It is quieter and less busy. Crime is prevalent all over the city as in any city. I would NOT like to live in 32202, 32206, 32210, 32244, or 32209

Don't let anyone try to tell you that one area is worse than another because the media tends to focus on the downtown, Northwest and West jacksonville areas.

The wealthier areas of town are 32256, 32257, 32205, 32204, 32224, 32250, and 32217 - that may be opinionated but it is based on personal experiences. I grew up in 32250, lived in 32225, 32205, 32219, and am moving to 32208, although I considered 32207, 32216, 32211, 32218 and 32277.
