Question about a Riverside Street
Anyone out there that is familiar with Haldumar Terrace? there is interesting rental on the street, but no one I know has any thoughts on regarding whether its a decent neighborhood or not...
I am trying to determine some good boundaries for good vs. sketchy areas on that side of the river.
thanks for helping a new Jax resident...

I know the street...it's relatively safe there...just always be catious...just because of the world we live in today. That section of Riverside is mixed with rentals and homeowners...I guess to give yoou the most honest answer I can come up with is that I'd live there....good luck

I know that street too, but I'm kind of familiar with it. It's by an old school building (for all you longtime Jacksonville residents, it's the old John Gorrie Middle School). The neighborhood it's in seems middle-to-lower class, so... I don't know.

I know that street. I think it runs into Green Street or Acosta Street, it is apart of a bend then the name changes. Its by that old bilingual school. Its no where near that haunted school where the janitor killed those kids in the boiler room, thats the one by the expressway so you'll be safe.

I live about a mile or 2 away near Boone Park, and I can safely say that that area is a little bit, not really nicer, but safer than the area I live. About the only dangers Ive seen in the past year or so with the riverside area is the homeless people, which the older ones pretty much keep to themselves, the younger ones though, make sure you keep your vehicle doors locked, about 3 times a year someone walks down the streets checking cars to see if they are locked or not.
