Default How's Jax Doing Floodwise

Firstly i hope all is well for those on here during the Tropical Storm in Florida.

Was wondering how my former hometown is holding out during the storm floodwise. Is Jax flooding in any areas as i'm thinking along the St. Johns river areas might be worse??

Hang in there guys and hope all goes well.
6/3

We've got our share of flooding, and the St. Johns is way up over it's banks and into the streets. I'm in Springfield and there's flooding here also. We actually had a break from the rain for about an hour, but it's pouring again.

I live out in Atlantic Beach (not on the ocean) and we have been pretty lucky with flooding. My lawn and driveway is flooded, but none of that came into the house.

I live on the SS, near ...JTB & SS...we're really wet and struggling. The new neighborhood built behind our circa 1980 neighborhood, is draining into our neighborhood via the homes that back up to the new hood! You can actually watch the water pour out of the yards and driveways of the border homes!!!Our neighborhood drainage systems can't keep up. Most of our streets are flooded, we're socked in and the homeowners that are the facilitators are doing everything they can to keep the water out of their homes...it's in most of their garages...I'm sure that the Streets and Drainage Dept. will be notified ASAP on Monday morning!

My neighborhood is older and also on the Southside and the drainage is not so great. My home itself must be at a pretty low point as we seem to have more standing water than others. At the worst point the water was up to my shins, (had to take the dogs out every so often), most of it has subsided and flowed into the pond not too far away. No water inside as we are off-grade.

Kerry, no way in hell was my iPhone or my $600 camera going out there! There is sap oozzing from the pine trees just in front of my home, so I think we might have been lucky. So of my neighbors not so much in the tree + home= damage dept.

Hope everyone else is well. Oh great, here's more rain!

Apanda,
Was your house (and inside) OK? Did the dogs do OK in all of the water?
