For a year, there has been a sign in front of the strip center on Roosevelt at St. Johns (on the other side of the railroad tracks) saying that Coming Soon there would be an Office Depot location. Well, it has been months since completion of the currently vacant retail space and that Office Depot location has yet to open. It seems that Office Depot has supposedly bailed out on its lease of the space, or has postponed or suspended opening the new location. Anyone know more about this?

I don't know anything about it... directly... but I have lived near there since Mar 2008. I've never seen a sign for Office Depot in that area. Are you talking about the one with Ham's Restaurant next to the one with Crispers?

Yes, that is the one I'm talking about. I live near that area, too. I have seen a sign for Office Depot any time I'm on Roosevelt.

LOL Guess I need to look again. If it's supposed to be near Ham's, there are weed in that building because the floor wasn't pulled. Cracks me up every time I walk by.

Howdy neighbor!!

I live in the area, too. I don't really understand the need for an Office Depot there, but who knows. I'm kind of hoping that something else goes in there...like a Total Wine! =)

Just wanted to give an update on that particular space, and some other things on Roosevelt...

Pet Supermarket is moving into the space I mentioned earlier in this thread. They should be opening up soon.

Papa Johns Pizza has moved out of the white building it once shared with Dunkin Donuts, and has moved a block or two up the street into an office complex (where a spine(?) clinic used to be). I remember years ago, that white building used to be a seafood restaurant (Pirates' Den?) and looked about the same, but totally different.
