Default Hurricane Watch Website

Last year when I moved here, it didn't seem like there was much to worry about. However, this year seems like a different story. I was checking National and Local Weather Forecast, Radar, Map and Report but I didn't realize that there was a better site for hurricanes:

National Hurricane Center

Currently tracking 3 storms after the Fay and Gaustav

National Hurricane Center

Default I just moved here too...

another good one is Tropical Weather : Weather Underground

Just click on whichever storm you want to check out on "Full Map"
Not that i'm obsessing about it or anything

I like the following:

For satellite: Try visible during the day and water vapor at night.
Atlantic and Caribbean Tropical Satellite Imagery - Satellite Services Division

Accuweather has good discussions. They don't get so excited.
Hurricane 2008! From AccuWeather.com

Intellicast: I like their maps and radar.
Intellicast - Active Hurricanes

Weather Underground was already mentioned. I find Dr. Jeff Master's blog very interesting. This is a great site. You can observe data from weather stations all over the world. Many hobbyists hook up their weather stations to Wunderground's network. You can get real-time conditions, even from the Caribbean islands and ocean buoys.

Yes, I like to follow the weather.

I actually like to check NOAA directly myself as well, they update every 3 hours on info and they are the source that others go to for info so you don't end up with this "Telephone Game" effect of misinformation.

Great links everyone !

We've had some quiet years back-to-back, I think we got spoiled !

Hopefully we'll reach the end of hurricane season soon...the sooner the better .
