Default Favorite Beach Parks and why

we are HUGE beach goers here. I mean I see the beach every single day and we go at least every other weekend. Hawaii has amazing beaches and I am silly not to take advantage of the beaches.

Now when we lived in Jax before we used to go to Hanna(h) Park (not sure if there is an "h" in there or not. I liked it alot.....I'll never forget though my husband being really worried about it after he flew over it and saw all the sharks off the coast. I have to laugh as he'll go in the water here, but since he saw all the sharks there he's worried. If you are in the water you are probably closer to a shark then you think.

Anyway what are your favorite beach parks and why? I really like ones with great parking, clean areas and nice restroom/changing facilities.

My friend mentioned Anastacia Beach Park? Is that correct? It's by St. Augustine right?

It's sure going to be a change to have to plan a drive to the beach instead of walking.

I like Anastasia State Park Beach, and yes it is in St. Augustine. It does require an entrance fee, but an annual pass which gives access to all state parks in FL is only $80 (family rate).

Hanna park is great for mountain bikers, they have lots of trails, bathrooms, and afterwards you can take a dip in the ocean.

I love Little Talbot Island for the reasons you mentioned in your post plus the camping, fishing, hiking, nature, etc.

If you land in the Fleming Island area, there's a bike trail that runs along Hwy 17 from Black Creek to Doctors Lake Bridge (and once the bridge construction is complete, the sidewalk will extend over the bridge into Orange Park.) Part of the trail is paved and part is boardwalk.

None of Jax beaches are on the list for me. South Beach, beach in San Juan, and Hanama Bay in Hawaii not sure if I spelled that right, but I loved going snorkling there when I was in the service.

gotcha.........

I know after living in hawai for 12 years we are spoiled. Hanauma Bay isn't what it used to be. You can't feed the fish anymore as they are really working on conservation and preservation of the reef....so the fish are a bit further out.

We usually hit Kailua Beach or Lanikai which are amazing and right down the road.....

You can't feed the fish anymore to bad, that's what really made Hanauma Bay special.
