What a bad football season for the Jacksonville Jaguars, In your opinion what needs to be done to avoid what happened this season in next season?

I think that all of the receivers need to wipe the sweat off of their hands before each play. That's the only logical explanation of why we had so many dropped balls this year-not so many bad passes, but still a lot of incompletions.

buy insurance for the O-line. I think this season was definitely a disappointment even considering the ravaged offensive line and there were many areas where we appeared to be struggling, however, the moment we lost both mo williams and manuwai after not already not having collier or meester (and then later on chris naoele and even nwaneri got dinged up) doomed this team from week 1. The Super Bowl aspirations went out the window in the first half of the season opener.

A good response would also have to mention addressing the second CB spot and and the WRs. This is assuming Groves and Harvey come along very well in the offseason and training camp.

IMHO all successful teams have at least one person in the ranks (player or coach/coordinator) around whom the team rallies -- our dear Jags, for whatever reason, didn't seem to have that person - there just wasn't that camaraderie.

The Jags already did the most important thing ... firing Shack Harris.

Harris was responsible for some major personel mistakes in the last several years. Maybe not Matt Millen level mistakes, but pretty bad ones regardless.

The other x-factor is Del Rio himself. He has been like a mini-Donald Trump, firing several assistant coaches at the end of every year. Eventually, he will either build himself a stellar coaching staff, or it will become apparent that the problem is HIM. We'll find out eventually.

Does anyone think # 9 was a fluke in 07?

Get some money to afford veteran players that are actually playing well.

no. I could be wrong...we will see over time...but no, I dont think it was a fluke. A lot of luck involved to throw just 3 INTs, but I think he's a top 15 QB in this league, just give him some protection and receivers.

I agree. Whenever Garrard has time he makes the pass. He had a split second on every snap to get rid of the ball before he was Swarmed this season. We need offensive protection
