Default St. John's v. Duval County

Hi All,
In other posts folks indicate that the south side of Jax is the "nice" side.

So can anyone fill me in on St. John's county? Less of the urban problems of Jax? Is a commute from there reasonable? Do the problems of Jax spill over?

Duval looks to be about 850K people strong, St. John's only about 175K people. So taking the area(s) as a whole, it would seem that there's a good chance the problems of Jax don't stay in Jax.

Or alternatively, if you lived in St. John's you might have to go into Jax to do some of your shopping etc?

I guess the main theme here is, "Is it possible to work in Jax, but avoid the place the rest of the time?" Or is it simply impossible and one must treat the whole region as one big city?

parks71 is on a distinguished road
St Johns county is much much much better than Duval for crime, schools and just about anything you can think of.
