Default High Speed Internet, TV..

Hi all!

I'd appreciate if anyone can tell me what is available in Jax in regards to High Speed Internet, TV, etc.

I currently have Comcast in Pa and they have the worst customer service but is the most convenient - as in just paying one bill.

Is Verizon Fios available? Bundles?

Or other Fiber Optic or RELIABLE option?

What have been your experiences?

Sorry for all the questions!

SH

sorry you can't escape comcast here. they're not really that bad when everything's working fine. not too much negatives in our local market.
but we also have ATT DSL and ATT FIOS(Uverse). FIOS is new here and only at certain neighborhoods. which ones, I don't know.
the last alternative is clearwire, which is imo, least desirable. oh, and then there's your neighbors unsecure wifi connection

And then there's always directv and dish network.

I think it all depends on location regarding choices. As far as I know, my neighborhood has the choice of Comcast or ATT for internet, and just Comcast for cable. (I could be totally clueless about other choices (besides satellite of course).)

My experience with Comcast is a mixed bag. I can't complain too much about internet/cable/phone service. Telephone customer service has been a nightmare for me, but the technicians who've been to my house have been fantastic and have fixed whatever problem quickly and efficiently. (Problems being that our cable box developed a hiccup and was replaced, and our router wasn't broadcasting strong enough to reach my desktop wireless, and it was replaced.)
