Default 95 Traffic from Yulee

What is the traffic like from Yulee into downtown on 95? We're trying to narrow down specifics before we choose Nassau or Clay. Thanks!

They are doing a lot of construction on 95 in between the airport and all the way into downtown. Starting off may not be bad, but there are lane changes, cones and other construction inconveniences. I know this eventually will be finished, but it's a pain in the rear. As far as clay county, if you're commuting to downtown, traffic around I-295 and Blanding or 17 is a mess. And then there's the Buckman Bridge. honestly, I wouldn't choose to live in either place, but it's your call.

Where would you suggest? We want a good piece of property and want to live outside of Jacksonville for better schools. Any suggestions are welcome as we'll be coming down soon to look at houses

I live in northern St. Johns County. This is a growing suburb that is perfect for families. Check out teh 32259 zip code. I have about a 20 minute commute to downtown (one way). Home prices start around $175k and your kids will be in one of the best school districts in North Florida. You may also want to check the Ponte Vedra area as well.

Since October I have been commuting from near Yulee (just on the Duval County side of the Nassau River) and it takes me about 30 minutes to get from my house to downtown. The construction at 95 and 9A/295 has not been a problem.
