My boss goes there and says she loves it! I also have a friend that's a high-risk pregnancy and she has been receiving excellent care.

In retrospect, there is something unusual in a group of medschool buddies starting this type of practice without the benefit of any experienced and seasoned OB/GYN who could mentor and teach them.

Faben is great, the doctors are fabulous, the ma's are wonderful, and the front office is just as great. They get you back in a timely fashion and really care about your needs. Faben obgyn is THE BEST obgyn you can go to.

I've seen Dr. Patrick Conner and Dr. Amy Greenwald out of North FL OB/Gyn (Baptist South) since 2001 and have been quite pleased w/them. In 2003 I went through extensive surgery (hysterectomy and 3 other procedures) with great success. They are very informed, easy to talk to and explain everything quite well. Their office staff is also good (which is a huge deal with me, I left another doctor's group before because of terrible office staff). Dr. Greenwald is the one who discovered the first lump in my first round of breast cancer, too. Our 17 yr. old daughter also sees Dr. Greenwald and is happy with her.

This office seeemed to meet my needs as long as I was pregnant. They were disinterested in any other concerns regarding stds and menustration issues. They are quick to suggest surgery before going over other options and complications that could later arise after the operation. Operation for procedures seem the quick answer for money in their pocket not discussing the possibility of not being able to receive pap smear for ovarain cancer after an ablation. Br careful with this practice, they are qualified, cocky, bitchy and most of all stuck up!! There was a lack of communication between the doctors you were to visit before pregnany. I was displeased with the lack of care and bedside manner particularily Dr. Fox.

I would not recommend this practice, either.
All they care is how to make more money out of you. Specific examples include:
(1) charge delivery fee at 18 weeks
(2) doing more blood tests than necessary
(3) quick to suggest c-section
Not to mention spending literally two minutes on me for each ob visits after I waited for a hour, scheduling my blood glucose test at 3:30 while the lab closes at 4:00, ...

Just my 2 cents ---
First, I'm not familiar with this practice.
There are some group practices here with young docs, some not so old, that are VERY sketchy. This is a small town and with that there seems to be reluctance to 'out' some of these individuals. My guidelines are:
1. I need to see some gray hair.
2. If everyone in the waiting room is young and pregnant, they are not experienced medical consumers - their rating of a doc is likewise based on limited experience.
3. If doctors' staff sound more like cheerleaders than technicians, nurses, etc. - BEWARE. The office staff should respect, but not worship the doctors/employers. Worship is unprofessional, unrealistic and just a dubious honor. The doctors are most likely encouraging this devotion and, in turn, their staff is most likely young, inexperienced and gullible.
4. Ask people who have had difficult procedures, pregnancies, tricky diagnoses, etc. Any doctor is a good doctor if you never have an emergency.
5. Doctors have good years and bad years - they go thru divorces and life events like us. They may be outstanding this year, but completely distracted the next.
Good luck and keep reference checking. I use NFLOBGYN - Dr. Paulk, good for peri-menopauseal issues.

I'm currently pregnant with my first child and have been going to this office because I thought a woman would be more understanding to my needs. So far I have been GREATLY disappointed in the care that I've recieved. Like others who've posted, I too have sat in that waiting room for 30 min-1hr waiting for whoever decided to come in that visit, only to be examined for 2 min by a Dr who obviously felt like she had better things to do. I've had a several scares during my pregnancy including repeated fainting spells. Each time I'd call the nurse she'd have an attitude and tell me to go drink some water. The one time they had me go into labor and delivery a Dr. Fox was on call. I was there alone (my husband is stationed in CA) and terribly scared, she never once came in to speak to me about what happend or to reassure me. The latest put me absolutly over the edge though. At my last visit I asked Dr Caccem to clarify some of the things I'd been reading about circumcism. Before I could get the question out of my mouth she told me that she could not help me with that and to go on the internet! Now I don't know about you but I sure don't feel comfortable letting this woman anywhere near my child! Lastly, i'm currently eight months pregnant and I still have no idea who is going to be delivering my baby. Now this maybe normal when you attend a practice of Dr. but I should have some idea who's going to be in the delivery room with me from that office.
Personally I feel like this office is a joke and I would not recommend it to anyone.
