Monster Jam Anyone?
I always thought of Monster Truck shows as a pretty "necky" attraction (redneck). However, after some convincing by friends, I have decided to go to the show tonight with some buddies. I am actually pretty excited.
I don't really know what to expect, but it seems to be a pretty big deal here in Jacksonville (go figure). Haha.. anyways, anyone else going to the show or anyone been to one in the past? I figure, if nothing else, it will definitely be a pretty good event for "people watching"

I hope you left eeearly. It will be a mad house tonight. Last year the stadium was still selling tickets although there were no seats left. Crazy. A lot of rednecks will be there but a lot of people (preppy people) are just dressed up as rednecks. They think its like a masquarade party where everyone dresses up as a redneck. Posers. lol

I would have to say that the Monster Jam was pretty fun experience overall. I highly recommend it.
Getting to the sports complex area was really easy (coming off 95 N). Parking wasn't too bad (paid 10 bucks). And we had good seats for only 17 bucks a ticket after all surcharges.
Not only was the monster truck thing fun to watch, but they had Moto-X guys out there doing incredible jumps and flips like 60 feet in the air on those little dirt bikes. There was also a "demolition derby" kind of thing which was pretty cool as well.
For anyone considering going next year I highly recommend it for the whole family. I was really surprised about the whole thing.(plus the people watching was really fun as expected)

So, THAT was what was going on! We went to the symphony last night and could not believe the amount of people and traffic that was out when we got off of the Main Street bridge. The police were out directing traffic and would not let us turn left to get to the T-U.

We went a couple of years ago. Take earplugs! The audience is part of the overall experience, IMO, and it is very reasonable, pricewise.
