I am going to be moving to Jacksonville in June and need to know where to look for apartments. I want to be around a young crowd, close to the beach, nightlife, and shopping.
Please let me know your suggestions!!

Do you know what part of town you will be working ?
This can make a big difference in where you decide to live

Also what kind of rent range are you looking for

You can check around the Southside which is the side of town you will be working on.

There are tons of apartments between Baymeadow/Southside/Gate parkway & Touchton

All of these will have you close to great shopping St Johns Towne Center as well as 15 miles or so to the beach

Just a warning, there isn't ample nightlife in Jax, nor an abundance of young people. But you can find both if you look.

You might want to check out some areas at the beaches. There's nightlife and, obviously, proximity to the beach. But commuting to work wouldn't be fun.

Otherwise, I'd think all the areas Karla listed on the Southside would be good. Convenient to work and not a bad drive to the beaches. Shopping-wise, St Johns Town Center and the Avenues would be accessible and even the outlet malls in St Augustine too.
