Looking for nice place to rent near downtown, riverside area (apartment, landlord)

Any suggestions? I am looking to find an apartment that is a section or floor of a large house. I'd like to stay away from complexes because they do not have character. I also want the place to be near the Fidelity buildings because it would be cool to be able to ride my bike to work, not that I work at Fidelity.

You can find all kinds of places like that in Riverside. Craigslist is a good source, but when I found the place I rent in Riverside, I just drove around and called anything that had a sign in its yard.

I found a place near riverside on craigslist. The guy I met with was Bert Ralston of Riverside Trading Company. The apartment was okay but the landlord never returned my deposit. I started a blog to share my experience so that others will beware.

I am sure that there are a lot of great people to rent from, but I recommend avoiding Riverside Trading Company.
