Default No comparision at all

As someone already mentioned there is no comarision between Deercreek and Greenland chase. Greenland chase is sandwitched between Intersate HWY and a railway track . In addition to this High tension electric lines goes through this community.

You can consider Oak leaf Plantation an option as it is convenient for you and your wife's commute

I work at downtown and live at Oakleaf Plantation. Commute is not an issue if you are going to downtown area from oakleaf . PM me if you need more information. I am not a Realtor

I have a house for sale if you're interested. It's in St. Johns Golf and Country Club, 12 miles south of what you were referring. We also looked at Deer Creek and I understand what you mean about updating. They were built in the 80's-90's and have the decor.

Welll... lot's of interesting points of view here...lol. The location of Greenland Chase cannot be beat IMO. Very very easy to get anywhere in town. I love the location.

Yes, some of the lots are close to 95. But most of the new lots in the back are plenty far away. I just built in the back of GC and we can not hear traffic on 95 at all. The lots in the front of GC are very small I agree. The lots in the back are much larger.

And their are no high tension power lines going through GC. There are some lines south of Greenland Chase along the boundry, but these lines don't cross over a single inch of GC... Thanks for playing.

GC is considered part of Mandarin. 32258

And kmoon.... what kind of fee's you got over there....just curious...

I'm assuming St. Johns Forrest correct? If so they're fee's are over 4x's the amount of the HOA fee in GC....

IMO, Providence builds a very nice home. Their construction superintendants in GC are top notch.

Just my .02.........

RR

How convenient is it when you are stuck behind a freight train?

Sounds like some great community planning here, build lots and lots of packed in, sardine can like, identi-boxes, right by I-95 and leave the yard space for the houses in the back that no one can see, that way when a gas tanker flips over and blows into the community you get a better net kill ratio.

If visible high voltage lines, I95 noise and pollution, freight trains, and being able to hear your neighbors snore at night are worth paying less for homeowners fees, go ahead and buy in Greenland Chase. You will be chasing green around the land you bought when JACKSONVILLE raises taxes on your little chunk of heaven. You can't beat St. John's county schools or anything else when it comes to location. The pecking order is St. John's, Clay, Nassau and last and least Duval. Thanks for playing!!

Yikes.
And just a minute ago, I read a post of someone who said this was a friendly board, where there were not rude posts.

Where the heck is this neighborhood? I thought it was off Greenland Road. Seems to me that would be the Mandarin area, or as I heard it called when I moved here, "Deep Mandarin."

Traveling from Old St. Augustine Rd and Greenland Rd, drive East on Greenland, until you cross I-95. The community will be on the right. Can't miss it. They're adding a traffic light at the intersection of Greenland Chase Blvd and Greenland Rd.

Why would anyone say this was not Mandarin? What is designated as Mandarin?

I've always considered Mandarin to be any part of 3 different zip codes: 32223, 32257, and 32258. Maybe some folks who have lived in the "old" parts of Mandarin, and who are not happy with all the growth of this area during the last 20-30 years, are the ones saying the new construction out that way isn't Mandarin. I don't know. I've met several fine old-timers around Mandarin, and it's great to hear about how they remember when San Jose was a 2-lane road, etc.
